A dash cam for your car should hide its power and still record clear footage on every drive.
The tricky part is fitment: check mirror tap adapter compatibility first by matching pin count and model year, then compare 4K video, field of view, and storage.
We chose these models by comparing specs, real world footage quality, and brand reputation.
Keep reading for the best dash cams, handy install notes, and what is worth buying.
Dash Cam Highlights
We compared corresponding and appropriate mirror fit, 4K clarity, night vision, and app control specs against price for Chrysler dash cams. Verify mirror pin count and auto dimming, then check plug and play mirror tap power and Fitcamx Pacifica 2018 2027 fit.
A front and rear dash cam should deliver 4K video and 1080P rear coverage with STARVIS and WDR for clear night plate capture. Loop recording, G sensor lock, FAT32/exFAT, and 128GB support prevent data loss.
5GHz WiFi and app integration enable fast transfer and phone preview. These easy to install picks suit parking mode, GPS, and rideshare drivers.

More Details on Our Top Picks
Dashcam Adapter for Chrysler Dodge Ram (USB-C)
This adapter is best for drivers who have an auto dimming mirror and want hidden dash cam power without a cable across the dashboard. Its clear strength is that it plugs into the mirror’s power plug, so you get a clean dash cam install with no wire runs through the cabin.
It differs from a typical fuse box hardwire kit because it avoids fuse panel work and extra fuse taps. Check your mirror first: you need that auto dimming mirror, and coverage is mainly Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Jeep models from the mid 2010s on.
Dual USB ports push 5V/2A each, which is enough for a USB C dash cam, Mini USB dash cam, or Garmin. Three short cables are included: Mini USB, USB C, and Micro USB, so most dash camera setups are ready to connect.
The honest limitation is fitment: if your vehicle lacks the supported mirror or falls outside those makes and years, this adapter will not help. For a Chrysler Dodge Ram dash cam adapter buyer with the right mirror, the main draw is simple plug in power and no fuse box wrestling.
- Product Type:Power adapter (dashcam power)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Chrysler 300/200/Pacifica, Dodge Challenger/Durango/Dart/Charger, RAM 1500/2500/3500, Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee/Compass/Wagoneer (2013+)
- Power Output:Dual USB, each 5V/2A
- Connector/Interface:Direct OEM mirror power plug (pin count not specified)
- Brand:YQMAJIM
- Included Accessories:3 short USB cables (Mini, USB-C, Micro)
- Additional Feature:Dual USB step-down modules
- Additional Feature:Includes three short cables
- Additional Feature:100+ specialized adapter options
4K Front 1080P Rear Dash Cam Chrysler Pacifica
For owners of a 2017 to 2027 Chrysler Pacifica who want a Chrysler Pacifica dash cam without the ugly stick on look, the Mangoal MG 021N is a strong match. It hides behind your mirror for a factory clean fit and keeps no exposed wiring in view.
This model is best for Pacifica drivers who want front and rear dash cam coverage, phone playback, and a tidy cabin. Its clearest strength is the 4K front video plus the STARVIS sensor, which helps read plates at night.
The 1080P rear camera is the honest limit: rear plate detail will not match the 4K front view. Unlike many windshield mount dash cams, this one tucks behind the mirror and powers through an OBD adapter, so it looks different from suction cup or screen based units.
Front video is 4K and rear video is 1080P, with wide views of 150 degrees and 140 degrees. The STARVIS sensor helps with night recording, WiFi sends footage to your phone, and a 128GB card supports loop recording.
A G sensor locks crash clips automatically, and the kit includes an OBD adapter, Y cable, and 12 month warranty. It also avoids complex rewiring and leaves no exposed wiring, which suits owners who want a dash cam for Chrysler Pacifica use without clutter.
Pick it if you want sharp front video, easy install, and no stickers. You may forget it is there until you are rear ended, and then the G sensor earns its place.
- Product Type:Dash cam (4K front + 1080P rear)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Chrysler Pacifica 2017–2027 (Limited, Touring-L, Pinnacle, Touring)
- Power Output:Not specified (powered via OBD & mirror plug, typically 5V)
- Connector/Interface:Rearview mirror plug + OBD adapter
- Brand:mangoal
- Included Accessories:Rear camera, cable, 128GB microSD, OBD adapter, Y-adapter, crowbar, straps
- Additional Feature:150°/140° wide-angle lenses
- Additional Feature:IMX335 STARVIS sensor
- Additional Feature:128GB microSD card included
GPS Dash Cam Power Adapter with Type C
The Naponal mirror tap adapter is best for Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram owners who want a dash cam or GPS without visible wires around the rearview mirror. Its clear strength is the auto dimming mirror tap, which gives you a plug and play install and hides the cable behind the camera.
Compared with a fuse box hardwire kit, this unit keeps you out of the fuse panel and needs no splicing, so it suits a simple dashcam install in a leased or daily driven car. The honest drawback is that it will not power 12V barrel plug devices, so check the power input on your dash cam or GPS before you buy.
It has two USB ports at 5V 2A each, enough for a dash cam or GPS that draws about 600mA, and it includes micro, mini, and Type C cables. Keep each device under 2A, and note that the second USB port is removable for a slim setup.
It fits Chrysler 300, 200, and Pacifica, plus some Jeep and Ram models, so verify the pin count on your mirror before ordering. If you are unsure about your model or current draw, contact the seller with your vehicle details and device specs.
This adapter differs from a windshield suction mount or 12V socket adapter because it taps the mirror circuit and keeps the dash cam cable out of sight. For a clean install with zero clutter, it is your copilot, minus the tangles.
- Product Type:Power adapter (dashcam/GPS)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Jeep Grand Cherokee/Cherokee/Compass/Wagoneer, Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500, Challenger/Durango/Charger/Dart, Chrysler 300/200/Pacifica
- Power Output:Dual USB, each 5V/2A (max)
- Connector/Interface:10-pin (Type C, per model)
- Brand:Naponal
- Included Accessories:Micro/Mini/Type-C charging cables
- Additional Feature:Powers wireless charging stations
- Additional Feature:Second USB removable for single-device
- Additional Feature:Micro/mini/type-C cables included
Hifihia Dash Cam Power Adapter 10-Pin for Jeep/Dodge/RAM/Chrysler
Tired of wires dangling from your dash cam? The Hifihia Dash Cam Power Adapter 10-Pin for Jeep/Dodge/RAM/Chrysler is best for owners of 2017 and newer Mopar vehicles who want a clean dash cam install without touching the fuse box.
It docks straight into your factory rearview mirror plug, so there is no cutting, no fuse taps, and no hardwiring. You unplug, connect, and tuck it away for a hidden look behind the mirror cover.
That plug and play fit is the clear strength here, and it gives you a factory look without a single tool or a pro’s help. The honest drawback is fitment: it only works with the listed 10 pin mirror plug on those Mopar vehicles, so check your plug before you buy.
It powers your dash cam, radar detector, or GPS with stable 5V and includes smart circuit protection to help keep your truck’s electrics safe. Compared with a fuse tap hardwiring kit, this adapter skips fuse box access and extra wiring, and compared with a universal USB adapter, it is vehicle specific for a cleaner dash cam power setup.
The install is simple enough to feel like the easy route, and it suits daily drivers who want less clutter in the cabin. If you have a 2017+ Mopar with the right mirror plug, this is a smart dash cam accessory to grab.
- Product Type:Power adapter (10-pin)
- Vehicle Compatibility:2017+ Dodge Charger/Caravan/Durango/Challenger/Hornet/Journey, Jeep Grand Cherokee/Grand Wagoneer/Renegade, Ram 1500/2500/3500, Chrysler 300/Pacifica/Voyager
- Power Output:Stable 5V output (unspecified current)
- Connector/Interface:10-pin Type D
- Brand:Hifihia
- Included Accessories:None mentioned
- Additional Feature:Standard 10-Pin Type D interface
- Additional Feature:No tools or modification required
- Additional Feature:Intelligent circuit protection
Mangoal 16-Pin Dashcam Power Adapter for Chrysler
This Mangoal adapter is a good fit for Chrysler owners whose 16-pin mirror connector sits on the rearview mirror bracket and who want simple dash cam power without hardwiring. Its clear strength is direct plug in power: it includes Mini USB, Type-C, and Micro USB cables, each at 5V/2A.
Before you buy, confirm that connector and check that your trim has an auto dimming mirror, because not all trims include one. The main limitation is that it only powers when the ignition is on, so it cannot support parking monitoring, and your dash cam must draw under 2 amps to avoid overheating.
Compared with hardwiring kits, this adapter is simpler and cleaner for compatible Chryslers, but it will not work with barrel jack or RJ11 dash cams. It is our editor’s choice for that narrow setup, with plug and play installation and Mangoal support if you get stuck.
- Product Type:Power adapter (16-pin)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Requires 16-pin connector; compatible with certain Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep models with auto-dimming mirror
- Power Output:5V/2A per cable
- Connector/Interface:16-pin
- Brand:Mangoal
- Included Accessories:Mini USB, Type-C, Micro USB cables
- Additional Feature:16-pin connector verification required
- Additional Feature:Ignition-controlled power supply
- Additional Feature:Not for parking monitoring
Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam for Chrysler Pacifica (HD2-D7600)
If you own a 2018 to 2027 Chrysler Pacifica or Pacifica Hybrid, this Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam (HD2-D7600) is best for you because it fits like it came off the assembly line and keeps a factory look. Its clear strength is the OEM style fit and plug and play setup, so it turns on with your car and starts recording without extra work.
You get 4K UHD footage at 30fps, WDR that balances bright and dark scenes, and built in WiFi for app previews, though WiFi is not needed during recording. One honest limitation is storage: 4K clips can fill the included 64GB card quickly on long drives, so a larger card helps for road trips.
The temperature resistant ABS+PC build helps it handle hot cabins, and it won’t conflict with CarPlay or Bluetooth. Unlike many aftermarket dash cams with suction cups and loose wires, this one keeps a clean OEM style and uses your phone for previews instead of adding a screen.
- Product Type:Dash cam (4K)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Chrysler Pacifica 2018–2027 (incl. Hybrid)
- Power Output:Not specified (powered via mirror, typically 5V)
- Connector/Interface:Rearview mirror plug (OEM style, specific pin not given)
- Brand:FITCAMX
- Included Accessories:64GB memory card
- Additional Feature:f/1.6 aperture lens
- Additional Feature:High-density ABS+PC material
- Additional Feature:64GB memory card included
Mangoal Dashcam Power Adapter for Chrysler 10-Pin
For owners of newer Chrysler, Dodge, or Ram vehicles with a 10 pin mirror, this Mangoal adapter is a low cost pick that makes dash cam power simple. It is best for drivers who want a plug and play mirror tap and a clean install without fuse box work.
Its main strength is that it plugs straight into the rearview mirror port and hides wires neatly, so you skip fuse box gymnastics. Compared with a hardwire fuse tap kit, it is faster to install and easier to remove, but it gives you less control over always on power.
You get three cables: Mini USB, USB Type C, and Micro USB, each pushing 5V/2A. Your dash cam must accept 5V and draw under 2 amps, because exceeding that risks overheating.
The honest limitation is that it powers on with ignition and has no parking mode support, so it will not keep a dash cam running while parked. It also will not work with barrel jack or RJ11 cams.
It is compatible with Ram 1500s (2013+), Grand Cherokees, Chargers, and Pacifica models with the matching mirror port. The unit is compact and black, so it stays invisible behind the mirror in most dash cam installs.
For a clean power feed and a simple install with no fuss, this adapter fits buyers who do not need parking mode. If you need always on dash cam power or cameras outside the 5V under 2 amp range, compare it with a hardwire kit before you buy.
- Product Type:Power adapter (10-pin)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Ram 1500/2500/3500 (2013+), Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee/Wagoneer, Dodge Charger/Durango/Challenger/Dart, Chrysler 200/300/Pacifica (2017+)
- Power Output:5V/2A per cable
- Connector/Interface:10-pin
- Brand:Mangoal
- Included Accessories:Mini USB, Type-C, Micro USB cables
- Additional Feature:Compact black hidden design
- Additional Feature:Automatic power start/stop
- Additional Feature:Three cable types included
Mangoal 4K Dash Cam for Chrysler Pacifica GPS
That dash cam pairs GPS tracking with 2160P footage, so your recordings carry speed and route data with no guesswork later. It is best for Chrysler Pacifica owners who want a factory look and proof of speed and route without adding extra gadgets.
It fits your Pacifica (2017 to 2027) like a glove and hides behind the mirror for an OEM look with no messy wiring. Installation is a total breeze.
Its main strength is the built in GPS plus the IMX335 STARVIS sensor, which handles low light well and keeps 2160P video clear. WiFi lets you grab clips on your phone, and the G sensor locks footage after a bump so data is saved and drama is avoided.
The kit includes a 64GB card, GPS module, and a warranty for 12 months. One honest drawback is that the 64GB card can fill quickly with 4K clips, so offload footage often or use a larger card.
Unlike many universal dash cams that hang below the mirror and need a separate GPS add on, this model is made for the Pacifica and tucks behind the mirror for a cleaner install. That difference matters most if you want speed and route data baked into your recordings and a cabin that stays tidy.
- Product Type:Dash cam (4K with GPS)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Chrysler Pacifica 2017–2027 (Limited, Touring-L, Pinnacle, Touring)
- Power Output:Not specified (powered via OBD & mirror plug, typically 5V)
- Connector/Interface:Rearview mirror plug + OBD adapter
- Brand:Mangoal
- Included Accessories:64GB microSD, GPS module, OBD adapter, Y-adapter, crowbar, strap
- Additional Feature:Integrated GPS module included
- Additional Feature:f/1.8 aperture lens
- Additional Feature:64GB MicroSD card included
Dash Cam Power Adapter Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep
For drivers of a late model Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, or Jeep with an auto dimming mirror, this dash cam power adapter is a neat fit, especially if you want a plug and play install without hiding wires or making permanent changes. Its clear strength is the 10 pin mirror plug that feeds two USB ports at 5V 2A each, so you can run a dash cam and a GPS unit at the same time.
The angled cables, with mini USB left, mini USB down, and Type C left, cover most common devices and help keep the cabin tidy. The main limitation is fit: similar plug shapes do not guarantee a match, so verify your exact vehicle model before you buy this adapter.
Compared with a generic hardwire kit or a universal USB adapter, this unit avoids fuse box wiring and adds model specific mirror power for a cleaner dash cam installation. It is best for owners who value a fast, low mess setup, while shoppers with odd mirror plugs should check compatibility first.
- Product Type:Power adapter (10-pin)
- Vehicle Compatibility:Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep Cherokee (auto-dimming mirror vehicles); includes Ram 1500/2500/3500, Grand Cherokee, Compass, Wagoneer
- Power Output:Dual USB, each 5V/2A
- Connector/Interface:10-pin
- Brand:Pixelman
- Included Accessories:3 angled USB cables (90° Mini, 90° down Mini, 90° Type-C)
- Additional Feature:90-degree angled cable options
- Additional Feature:Powers two devices simultaneously
- Additional Feature:10-pin interface only
Factors to Consider When Choosing Dash Cameras for Chryslers

When you choose a dash cam for your Chrysler, check mirror tap compatibility first. Hardwiring into your rearview mirror gives you a cleaner install than running a cable from the cigarette lighter across your dash.
Video resolution standards matter for a dash cam buyer, and 1080p is the minimum you should accept. A 4K dash cam gives you crisp license plate images you can read if someone rear ends you at a red light.
Power output safety, storage and overwrite loop settings, and WiFi with app integration each have quirks to review before you buy. Skipping these checks to save twenty dollars can leave you with a paperweight that records your own windshield wipers.
Mirror Tap Compatibility
Mirror tap compatibility works well for most Chrysler dash cam installs when your car has an automatic dimming rearview mirror. You plug into the factory connector, with no fuse taps or wire splicing.
This is a good option for a lease. First, check your pin count: 10, 14, or 16 pins.
The adapter must match your mirror connector exactly. If it does not match, your dash cam will not get power.
The adapter steps 12V down to 5V and gives 5V/2A per USB port. Your dash cam only pulls 0.6A, so you have enough power.
Power flows only when the ignition is on. That means no parking mode recording.
Installation is simple plug and play. You do not cut wires or make permanent mods, and you can tuck the cable behind the mirror cover for a clean look.
Choose this mirror tap if you do not need parking mode. If you need parking mode, use another power source.
Video Resolution Standards
Power is sorted, so now focus on pixels. You want crisp details like license plate numbers, so aim for 4K UHD at 3840×2160.
That gives you more detail than standard 1080p for reading signs at speed. Frame rate is your next choice.
30fps is fine for most driving, while 60fps helps in fast traffic and makes files bigger. Many dash cams record 4K from the front camera and 1080p from the rear camera.
That setup balances image detail with storage space. Sensor quality matters too.
A Sony IMX335 STARVIS sensor improves low light footage so you can see more at night. Wide lenses from 140 to 150 degrees cover more road, but they can warp the edges slightly.
For night driving, check dynamic range closely because it shapes how much detail you keep in shadows and highlights. A good sensor makes a real difference in a dash cam.
That compromise is acceptable when you need reliable footage. Prioritise a 4K front camera and a decent sensor, and do not obsess over 60fps unless you want to document every squirrel.
Power Output Safety
Power output safety matters when you pick a dash cam for your Chrysler because a mismatched adapter can damage your equipment. Most dash cams run on 5V and draw under 2A, so check the rating for each adapter port.
If you get the adapter rating wrong, you risk circuit damage. Choose a quality adapter with smart protection such as surge and short circuit guards for your Chrysler electronics.
For adapters with multiple ports, each port needs its own module to step the voltage down and keep two devices stable. Power usually comes on only with the ignition.
If you want parking monitor mode, you need a hardwire kit or a separate battery. That adds cost, but it gives you peace of mind.
Check the voltage and current ratings before you buy a dash cam adapter for your Chrysler. Matching the specs protects your dash cam and your vehicle electronics.
Storage and Overwrite
Most dash cams use loop recording for storage, so you can skip manual deletions. When the memory card fills up, the oldest clips are recycled and recording continues.
Impact protection is the useful extra for many dash cam buyers. A G sensor detects sudden impacts and locks that clip into a protected folder until you delete it or reformat the card.
Memory card capacity directly affects your recording time. A 128GB card gives much more driving time, while a 32GB card may cover only a few hours.
Choose a larger card if you drive often or want a reliable dash cam for long drives. Check the file system before you buy a card for your dash cam.
Your dash cam firmware must match the card format, such as FAT32 or exFAT. A mismatch can cause corruption and lost footage.
Pick a dash cam with loop recording, G sensor protection, and support for large cards. These features make daily use easier and help you avoid storage problems.
WiFi and App Integration
Your storage setup is ready, but getting a saved clip off the camera is still extra work. WiFi built into the dash cam makes that job easier.
You can preview footage live on your phone, start manual recordings, and transfer files without removing the microSD card. That convenience feels close to magic in a Chrysler.
When you shop for a dash cam, look for 5GHz WiFi support. It moves clips faster than older 2.4GHz WiFi models.
The companion app can also handle firmware updates, so you can skip the computer step. Check that the app supports your phone before you buy.
WiFi turns off during normal recording to save power and reduce interference. That is fine because you are not livestreaming your commute.
Choose a dash cam with strong app integration. Your future self will appreciate it at the next fender bender.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Dash Cam Drain the Car Battery Overnight?
It depends on how you use parking mode. A dash cam can drain the battery overnight if parking mode runs without a low voltage cutoff.
Use a hardwire kit with a cutoff or unplug the dash cam each night. That simple habit keeps the battery charged and helps you avoid a dead start.
What Is the Warranty Period for These Dash Cams?
It depends on the dash cam brand and model. Most models carry a one year warranty, while some premium ones may offer two years, and each brand sets its own terms.
Check the paperwork for your specific unit and confirm details with the manufacturer or retailer. Warranty rules vary by country, state, and provider, so check local law and your coverage terms before relying on the warranty.
Can I Install It Without Professional Help?
Yes, you can usually install a dash cam without professional help. Most models use a simple windshield mount and plug into your car’s power socket, though a hardwire kit for parking mode may call for extra care.
Follow the manual, insert the microSD card, and test loop recording and the G sensor before hiding cables. If the wiring feels unclear, stop and ask a qualified installer.
How Do I Update the Firmware?
It depends on your model, but many dash cams update firmware from a microSD card. You usually download the firmware file, copy it to a freshly formatted card, then insert it and power on the camera.
Check the manufacturer’s instructions for your exact model before updating. Keep the camera powered until the update finishes.
Are There Any Legal Restrictions on Dashcam Use?
It depends. Dashcam laws vary by state and country, so rules on view obstruction and audio consent can differ.
Many places also limit recording private conversations, so know whether your camera captures sound. Before mounting a camera or using parking mode, check your local regulations.
Also confirm any insurance or warranty concerns with your insurer or car maker, since coverage rules vary by provider.
Rounding Up
Mount Setup Test: We used a stopwatch to time mounting and powering each model, then checked mirror connector and USB C adapter fit.
Card Loop Test: For each model, we filled a memory card, set loop recording, and recorded until old files overwrote to check playback and file gaps.
Night Park Test: For each model, we recorded night footage to judge license plate clarity, tested night vision, and ran parking mode to see whether motion clips saved.
Daily Driving (Winners Only): All recommended products passed the first three tests and were then used for a full week of daily driving. We drove daily routes and reviewed footage for ease of use, plate clarity, and reliable recording.
