About Us
Best Front and Rear Dash Cam is an independent automotive electronics review lab and testing workshop dedicated to evaluating dual-channel dash cameras, night vision optical sensors, and 12V parking surveillance hardware. Our mission is to provide drivers with transparent, data-driven road test benchmarks and zero-compromise installation guidance.
Our Independent Testing Philosophy
Every dash cam featured on our site undergoes rigorous, real-world field evaluations. We do not accept paid manufacturer scores or rely on synthetic marketing claims. We purchase equipment directly through retail channels and subject every setup to standardized optical tests, extreme summer dashboard thermal stress tests, and night highway runs to evaluate true license plate readability.
Meet Our Technical Team

Liam Parker
Founder & Lead Systems Reviewer
Liam brings over 15 years of hands-on automotive electrical and telematics experience. He began his career bench-testing commercial fleet cameras and vehicle CAN bus telemetry. At Best Front and Rear Dash Cam, Liam directs our road evaluation fleet, calibrates optical resolution targets, and oversees power draw benchmarks on supercapacitor camera modules.

Maya Lin
Optical Sensor & Low-Light Testing Engineer
Maya specializes in digital imaging sensors, wide-angle lens distortion correction, and low-light near-infrared sensitivity. With a technical background in digital image processing, she manages our nocturne road benchmarks, evaluating high dynamic range exposure balance, headlight bloom suppression, and high-speed motion blur reduction.

Aaron Vance
12V Installation & Electrical Hardwire Technician
Aaron has hardwired hundreds of vehicle camera systems, radar detectors, and auxiliary power supplies. He authors our fuse box wiring schematics and evaluates low-voltage battery cutoff thresholds, ensuring 24/7 parking mode surveillance operates safely without stranding vehicle owners with dead starting batteries.
Our Testing Facility & Standards
We test dual-channel dash cams under three distinct evaluation phases:
- Optical Bench Clarity: ISO 12233 chart resolution analysis, checking center and edge sharpness on both 4K front and 2K rear lenses.
- Dynamic Road Benchmarks: Daytime highway merges and nighttime rain driving to evaluate real-time license plate legibility at speed.
- Thermal Endurance & Standby Current: 48-hour continuous recording runs inside high-temperature chambers to confirm supercapacitor safety and parking mode low-voltage battery cutoff reliability.
Have questions about specific hardware, wiring harnesses, or compatibility with your vehicle? Contact our testing team and we will be happy to assist.
